๐ŸŽ‰ Happy New Year FROM EPOCH.PET! ๐ŸŽ‰

Hey, fellow pet lovers!

I hope you all managed to have a lovely Christmas whether you could spend it with family or not. I am very grateful that my partner and I spent some quality time with our family, and I gave myself a few days break from university work and blogging duties. 2020 was a tough year for everyone, and I hope this year will be brighter for us all. Fingers crossed that this vaccine will allow us to go back to some normality. I want to start 2021 with a positive post and share some of the highlights for epoch.pet from 2020 and what I hope to achieve this year.

Let’s jump straight into today’s post!

We did it; we made it through one of the toughest years yet! I think I speak for most of the world when I say I am pleased that a new year has arrived. We have all dealt with so much last year, and a fresh start is a welcomed thought for us all. I am very grateful that I did not lose anyone from COVID, and I hope that will remain the case throughout 2021. I hope that this is the case for you too, but I know many people worldwide have had to say goodbye to their loved ones due to COVID and I am deeply sorry if this is the case for you.

With a new year comes a fresh start, a chance to create a positive attitude and move forward with your goals for 2021. This year will be the third year I have had epoch.pet and time really does fly when you’re having fun! 2020 has been the toughest year for me with keeping up with my blogging duties. Although I updated the website during my summer break, I have struggled to keep up posting monthly content, which I hope to work on this year. Being a full-time student, maintaining epoch.pet, and trying to start my new project The Savvy Stoic has proved to be a challenge for time management. I am looking forward to creating a productive routine in which I can fit all my passion projects.

Despite my lack of posting consistency, I am thrilled to say that 2020 was the best yet for epoch.pet and the visitors and views were the highest yet. Considering I haven’t used any paid advertising and this is solely organic growth, I am thrilled with epoch.pet’s metrics for 2020.

Okay, so any bloggers out there who are hitting crazy numbers will laugh at such small metrics. Still, for a girl who started with no knowledge about blogging, website and content creation, I am simply thrilled that people turn up to read our articles and check out epoch.pet. Since starting epoch.pet I have met some amazing people and been to events that I wouldn’t have been to if it wasn’t for going live with this little blog.

I want to say a MASSIVE thank you to all our followers on WordPress and across all our social accounts! I am incredibly grateful for your continued support since going live back in April 2018, and I look forward to continuing my blogging journey alongside you all and seeing where epoch.pet ends up. I have many goals I want to achieve in 2021, and I’m keeping my goals simple when it comes to epoch.pet.

2021 Goals

  1. Publish a minimum of one piece of quality content each month on the blog
  2. Get epoch.pet T-shirts made
  3. Increase the Facebook pages following to 1000
  4. Increase the blogs monthly visits to 3000 a month by May 2021
  5. Maybe start getting some video content out there

Other Personal Goals

  • Go live with website & YouTube channel for The Savvy Stoic ๐ŸŽฅ
  • Learn as much as I can about philosophy & Stoicism ๐Ÿ’ญ
  • Pass my second year of university ๐ŸŽ“
  • Go on an Interrailing solo trip through Europe ๐Ÿšž
  • Read a minimum of 12 Books (1 each month) ๐Ÿ“š
  • Meditate & journal daily ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ
  • Create a healthy work/life balance โš–๏ธ
  • Create a healthy workout routine ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ
  • Appreciate the highs & the lows & learn from them all!

As you can see, I have kept epoch.pet’s goals quite simple and this is because I have a lot of other things that I would like to achieve next year like starting my new project The Savvy Stoic which you can learn more about by heading to my Twitter account @TheSavvyStoic. If I can continue to grow the website and provide free quality content to pet owners, 2021 will be a success in terms of epoch.pet.

This year has been a tough one, and there have been times where I haven’t found the motivation to write an article or keep up with my blogging responsibilities. But when I see that people are liking, sharing, and getting benefit from the website, it helps keep me motivated and reminds me of why I started this little blog back in April 2018. A lot has changed since then, and I did have plans to turn epoch.pet into a business before deciding to go back to university. But that never happened and I am currently maintaining the website until I can get a better idea of what I want epoch.pet to become.
