Hey, fellow pet lovers!
Today’s post is a short one talking all about Nia and Lily’s birthdays which took place earlier this month. Nia turned six on the 10th and Lily five on the 11th. Today I want to share with you a post which I’d hope to have shared earlier, but it’s been a busy month. In today’s post, I want to tell you what they got as gifts and a few photos of them with their presents.
Let’s jump straight in!
Birthday Girls 🎉🎁🎂

Nia and Lily mainly got new toys this year as they are getting a nice new bed for Christmas, which is going to cost a fair amount. They also got some tasty treats and new shampoo and conditioner. For toys, I mainly got new balls for Lily as she is obsessed! I stuck with the Chuckit brand as they are durable, and they are Lily’s favourite. She got the Chuckit Ultra Squeaker Ball which is excellent and also the Chuckit The Whistler Dog balls.
My partner got the girls a new flirt pole as they loved the last one they got. However, this year we got the smaller one as we thought it would be better for carrying to and from the park. But after using it, I think the larger one is better. To learn more about flirt poles, then check out one of my previous posts. Squishy Face Flirt Pole Review.
Lastly, I ordered the girls a Tug-E-Nuff Dog Gear dog toy which is a brand we have never tried but seem promising. I ordered them a WondaBaa Bungee which is just one of the many cool pet toys they have one the site. They haven’t used it much so I cannot review it properly, but they had a lot of fun when we have used it. I’ve added links below if you want to check any of these cool products out.

This year I didn’t have much time to make the girls a super awesome cake. However, next year I want to try and do something a little more adventurous. The girl’s cake is made out of minced venison as they are raw fed, so I didn’t want to make anything using flour, though I did make one a few years back using coconut flour which turned out pretty good. They have a goats cheese frosting in the middle. On top, there is a layer of whipped egg white which didn’t go to plan and fresh raspberries. They loved it though, and it went down a treat!
Thanks for reading today’s post! I hope you all enjoyed learning about what my girls got up to on their special day. I hope you and your loved one’s including your four-legged friends are safe and well. The news of a vaccine for covid-19 is a big relief and hopefully, we can all start spending time with our family and friends.
