Future Adventures with Little Lily.

Hey, fellow pet lovers! ❤️

Today’s post is a short informal one in which I plan to talk about my upcoming adventures with my gorgeous girl Lily. If you’re a frequent visitor to epoch.pet, then you will already know that last year, I learned to ride a motorbike alongside my partner, and we plan to go on camping trips and other wild adventures together, and guess who is coming along?

My little sidekick Lily and the reason Lily is coming and Nia isn’t is because of the size difference. Though in the future, when we are both more experienced,  my partner will be the one driving with Nia most likely in an expensive dog carrying cage, and I’ll have Lily on my back as she’s small enough.

If you’re a little worried and think this sounds dangerous, then I can reassure you that we have the best gear and have two different carry bags for Lily. We originally got the Bagster Puppy Tank Bag, but it is a tad big, so we ended up opting for a K9 Sports Sack which has proved to be a fantastic investment.

My Beautiful Limited Edition Brixton Motorbike

Last year I completed my CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) alongside my partner and got myself a little 125 cc in October which you can see above.

Learning to ride a motorbike which I’m still in the process of doing, was and still is one of the scariest things I’ve ever done. However, it is also hands down one of the most exciting things too!

My little bike will be what I use to adventure with Lily and my other half; he also has a 125 cc and also has a bigger bike waiting for him when he does his full licence training next year.

Enjoy the ride!

Above is a photo of myself, my partner and Lily rocketing her little SportsSack bag and her Rex Specs. I think she looks pretty cool and believe it or not, she doesn’t seem to mind or show any discomfort when we are out on the bike.

We have planned a date and are going to do three days of wild camping in Scotland providing the weather conditions are ok, and the guidelines say we can go due to the COVID restrictions.

It’s safe to say it has been a crazy year for us all and I could do with a little getaway and some relaxing time in nature before I start my second year of university in October. We have decided to go away on the 31st and head home on the 3rd of September. I think we are going to have a fantastic time and I am so excited about our little adventure.

I’m planning on using this opportunity as a practice for shooting some video content and will be writing some articles on how to travel with dogs after our trip. I never expected to be a motorbike rider, never mind taking my canine companion with me, but this is where we are and I feel this trip is going to give me some interesting topics to write about.

I also plan to do a few posts just on our wild adventure where I talk about what it is like to go camping with dogs and travel on a motorbike, so stick around for more exciting posts heading your way. If you’ve ever gone wild camping with your four-legged friends, then let me know in the comments below if you have any useful advice as it would be great to know any helpful tips before setting off.

In terms of food for Lily, most of our followers will already be aware that she eats a raw diet, but we are unable to feed her raw while we’re away due to not having any means of safely storing her food, so we plan to take some high-quality freeze-dried food. Thankfully, Lily has become a lot less fussy than when she was a puppy, so I don’t think we will have any problems. Again if you have any recommends for high-quality freeze-dried food then let me know in the comments below.

I’ll be writing more about our upcoming trip over the next few months, and I’m looking forward to documenting the whole journey with you guys. As some of you will know that something I’ve wanted to do for a while now is to start getting some video content created, so this is a trial run to see how things go.

That’s it for today’s short post and I hope you, your family, friends and of course canine and feline friends are safe and well. I really hope that you are all managing to enjoy some of the lovely summer weather we’ve had so far this month. If you have any post recommendations, be sure to get in touch via epoch.pet’s Contact page as I’d love to hear more about the topics you would like me to write about.
