Hey, fellow pet lovers!
I hope you’ve all been enjoying the lovely Spring sunshine, I know the girls and I have been loving the warmer weather lately and we’ve had plenty of wonderful walks along the coast. Today’s post is a fairly relaxed one and is a monthly overview for epoch.pet, some of you may have realised that I’ve missed two posts this month and today I want to talk a little bit more about why?
Let’s jump straight into today’s post!!
epoch.pet March Monthly Overview

This month has been pretty hectic for me as I’ve got a lot going on at the minute but I’m definitely enjoying the craziness… However, I’ve found it fairly difficult to keep up with my usual posting schedule and this is why I’ve missed two posts this month, so apologies to our frequent readers.
Finding the time to create quality content is proving to be a bit of a challenge, especially since we’re almost up to one-hundred posts!! Thankfully, I’ve taken some time this week to sit down and brainstorm some interesting post ideas for next month which I think you’ll all like.
On April the 20th it will be a whole year since going live with epoch.pet and it is insane how the last year has just flown by. The blog has come so far in such a short amount of time and I cannot wait to see what the next twelve months have in store. It’s been amazing to watch as each month our visitors and views continue to increase, alongside our community of pet lovers worldwide.
In today’s post, I really wanted to let you guys know why I haven’t had the time to keep up with my weekly posts and what I’ve been up to latelty. As this year certainly hasn’t panned out as I thought it would but in all honestly, It’s actually been a lot better than I could of imagined.
So what have I been up to?
- Applying for University

Well, I’ve been super busy lately but the main thing that is taking up my time is the fact that I’m applying to study a combined honours degree in business and philosophy. This was a bit of a spontaneous decision but it’s something that I’m feeling really excited and confident about and I know that the business side of my degree will be super useful for growing epoch.pet.
- Networking
Another thing that has been keeping me busy is networking, this year I’ve really been trying to put myself out there and attend more events, which has meant I simply haven’t found as much time to write new content. However, I’m well aware that consistency is key and I’m going to try my hardest to always get one post out a week, as I want to continue to grow epoch.pet and give our readers quality content to help them optimize their canine and feline friends live’s for the better.
- Quality over Quantity!
I was having a conversation the other day that inspired me to be a bit more open with you guys and let you in on some of the highs and lows of my blogging journey so far. I was talking to a friend and mentioned how it really got to me the first time I missed a blog post this month, I’m a bit of a control freak and I guess you could say that breaking my constant streak of two posts a week since going live really hit me hard, but I’ve come to realise that quality over quantity is where it is at and I hope you can all agree.
epoch.pet has been a constant throughout some difficult times since going live last April and it’s really kept me going by giving me something to focus on. In May last year, just a month after going live with epoch.pet my mum past away and having the blog was a great distraction from everything during the months that followed.
One thing that always sticks in my mind is that on her funeral day I came home and published a blog post. I think this is why I struggled with not getting a post out so much this month, because I thought back to that day and figured if I could get a blog post out then, surely I could any other time?
But the truth is, a lot has changed since going live with epoch.pet and I’m becoming ever increasingly busier as the months go on, which is why I’m planning to decrease my posts to once a week when we’ve hit 100, which will be very soon. It’s essential to me that I keep creating quality content and I feel that if I continue to publish two posts a week that it would go against this essential goal of mine.
I’ve enjoyed writing today’s post and I hope you’ve all liked learning a little bit about my blogging journey so far and what I’ve been up to lately. I’m really looking forward to writing next months yearly review post since the 20th of April is a Saturday so it’s worked pretty well.
