Today’s post is a short one all about how January has been for epoch.pet and I plan on talking about some of our best highlights and lastly, what I and my girls have got up to so far. This year has started off hectic and I imagine it is only going to continue that way but epoch.pet is doing well, and that is something that makes me extremely happy!!

January Overview for epoch.pet!

So we’re almost one month down and how quick has it gone??

Only 11 more months to go of 2019 but thankfully this year has started off well for epoch.pet and this month has seen the most visitors come to the blog ever, and hopefully each month this number continues to increase. I’m so grateful to each and every one of you who follows epoch.pet as well as our social accounts and also likes and shares our content, being a blogger can be awfully lonely somethings when you’re the one who is doing everything, social posts, writing engaging content, maintaining the site and the list goes on and on…

I never imagined blogging could be so stressful but epoch.pet has been worth every single little bit of stress because when I see the value pet owners are getting from our content, it makes everything worth it!!

I’m thinking about maybe doing a quarterly review for the blog, but it all depends on how you guys take to today’s post. Personally, I love writing these more informal post as I feel it gives my followers a chance to get to know the person behind epoch.pet a little bit better but also provides a small insight into the blog itself.

On April the 20th it will be one year since going live with epoch.pet and it’s certainly been one hell of a journey, with hopefully many more years ahead… I’ve loved starting with such a small idea and watching it grow each and every month and that’s all down to you guys so thank you all so much!!

So what’s been the highlights of this month?

Well, there’s been a fair few highlights this month for epoch.pet and below I plan on listing a few of my favourites.

• Xdog Featuring Lily on their Social Accounts!!

The best thing so far for epoch.pet was when Xdog featured my girl Lily on their social accounts, Facebook and Instagram. This was at the very start of the year and was a really great morale boost and really helped to spread the word about epoch.pet.

I was so shocked at how many likes she managed to get, 745!! ❤

I mean, I know she has a stunning little face but 745 is quite an achievement for little Lily. • Increased Visitors and Blog Views.

Any fellow bloggers out there or content creators will know the struggles we have to go to try to get organic views and traffic to our site. I haven’t spent much money on paid advertising at all and it is something I do plan to focus more on this year but despite this, our monthly visitors and views have gone up a lot this month and epoch.pet has hit a personal record.

I remember the first month I went live with epoch.pet, I literally got 89 visitors and we have gone far beyond that number now which makes me incredibly happy, so if you’re a frequent visitor then thank you so much for choosing to come back and read our weekly content.

• Increased Social Following.

Another highlight of January for epoch.pet is increased social following, this is something I have moved away from focusing on for the last few months as my To-Do list has been so swamped that I have simply let our following grow organically.

If you like and read our content and know any fellow pet owners or lovers then I would really appreciate it if you could spread the word about epoch.pet, word of mouth marketing helps us grow massively so if you have a family member with a four-legged friend then spread the word about our canine and feline-loving community!!

• Increased WordPress Followers.

Our WordPress followers have continued to increase too and this is something I always love to see as I know that you guys read our content, whereas not all our social followers do.

• A Large Build-up of Blog Posts!!

So today’s post is number 83 and I cannot believe how quickly the weeks have gone by, posting two blog posts a week has been a challenge on certain occasions but I’ve always managed to get a post out and I’m really happy we have a large collection of content to help pet owners benefit their canine or feline friends life for the better.

A quick thank you to my amazing another half who has helped to get some killer content out when I’ve been ill or too busy to write, I couldn’t have kept up with our constant weekly posts if it wasn’t for his help!!

• Search Engine Optimization.

SEO which means Search Engine Optimization is something I am no master at and only know the basics despite having epoch.pet.

However, January has been a record month for us being picked up on search engines and every month our content increases so will the number of times Google, Bing or Yahoo will pick up us, which really helps us to reach a larger audience and allows more pet parents to join our pet loving community.

As you can see epoch.pet has had a very good month and a great start to 2019 and I really hope you have too!! I have a good feeling about the year ahead and I’m really looking forward to April the 20th to celebrate epoch.pet turning one year old.

What have the girls been up to this month?

The girls have had a great start to 2019 with lots of adventures down the coast and also to Lily’s favourite place in the whole world, the park. We have really upped their workout routine lately and Nia has seen the introduction of a resistance parachute to help her get that summer body.

Lily has been loving the flirt pole and if you head over to our Instagram profile you can see plenty of adorable photos of her having lots of flirt pole fun!! She also got two new Chuckit Balls this month which made her extremely happy and I cannot believe it has taken us this long to try them, I plan on doing a product review on the Chuckit Balls and mini ball launcher at some point next month as they are both really great pet products.

The Pooss has been her lazy self this month but she has been extremely happy, she’s really loving her new chosen food at the minute which is Nutriment’s beef complete. We’re hoping to build her a large cat scratching post in the next few months which I cannot wait to write a blog post about as we plan on making it a floor to ceiling post and she’s going to love it, so stick around for that.

epoch.pet has had a wonderful start to the year and I cannot wait to see what else 2019 has in store for the blog/brand, as I have lots of interesting plans. I hope you’ve all had a truly great start to the year and if not, you have plenty of time to turn it around and make 2019 a great year!!
