Today’s post is a short product review of the Ruffwear Front Range Harness. We have had this harness for such a long time now, it started as Nia’s puppy harness and then got handed down to Lily. For the price this harness is fantastic and honestly high quality, considering we have had it for almost four years now and it is still in excellent condition.

Ruffwear is a great company that produces high-performance dog gear so we owners can bring our furry friends along with us on our fun adventures. The company was founded in 1994 by Patrick Kruse, and they manufacture a lot of different pet products such as:

We haven’t bought many of Ruffwear’s products for the girls bar the harness we will be reviewing today. But we certainly have to try more of their products as my partner, and I love camping and the outdoors and wouldn’t want to leave the girls behind on our adventures. I also really want to get the girls some of Ruffwear’s little boots for when we are out and about and end up stumbling upon some smashed glass or anything that could harm their little feet. Ruffwear Front Range Harness 💯
This is the Ruffwear Front Range Harness and I and my girls love it! It has been an excellent harness for both Nia and Lily, and we bought the orange one for Nia when she was a pup, but you can get it in a variety of colours and sizes to suit your pet perfectly.

The Ruffwear Front Range Harness comes in six different colours to choose from, there are:
- Twilight Grey
- Blue Dusk
- Meadow Green
- Tillandsia Purple

Something I love is the broad range of colours to choose from, and Lily looks so cute in her Orange Poppy harness! I think we will either get her the blue dusk or twilight grey one next as it has been such a good harness and she seems to be very comfortable in it.

This harness is seriously durable, we have had our harness for almost four whole years now, and it is used almost daily. It is a great all-around harness for everyday walks; fun trips off the lead at the park and adventures through the wilderness. It says on Ruffwear’s website to wash your pet’s harness on a hand wash and to use a mild detergent, then hang it up to air dry. I have stuck Lily’s harness in the washer on hand wash before, and it has come out fine, but you can also just hand wash it using the shower if you’re in a rush.
- This harness has a front clip to help with training your pooch to walk correctly.
One of the hardest things about getting a new puppy is training them to walk correctly alongside you. A lot of harnesses don’t have a front clip which means you have far less control and it is a lot harder for teaching your pet to walk nicely alongside you without pulling. Thankfully, the Ruffwear Front Range harness does, and it allows you to train your pooch to walk nicely alongside you quickly. Lily wasn’t too bad when she was a puppy for pulling, and she walks quite well now so I never really have to use the front clip, but, it is handy having it there just in case.
- This harness is a comfortable everyday use harness.
This harness is super comfortable, and it has lots of padding to keep your pooch happy on their daily walks or wild adventures. Lily has had harnesses in the past that have rubbed and caused her some discomfort. Thankfully we have never had an issue with this harness, as it has lots of padding to keep your pet comfortable while they are out and about.
- This harness is a customisable fit with four points of adjustment.
Like I mentioned above this harness is very comfortable and has four points of adjustment, which is excellent if you have a small breed and get them an extra small or small harness because your most likely to have that harness still when your pup is a fully grown pooch.
- Low light visibility and reflective trim.
Another great thing about this little harness is that it has a reflective trim that helps keep your pet safe when they are out and about and it’s dark. This is especially useful during the cold dark winter nights when it is awful outside and the roads are super busy but you still have to take your pooch out on daily walks.
- ID pocket
Something I love about this product is that it allows you to put an ID tag into your harness encase your pet decides to do a runner. It also has a little name tag and contact phone number section that you can fill in on the inside of the harness to ensure that if your pet does go missing they can easily be brought back home.
There are so many great things about this harness and there will certainly be a Ruffwear Front Range Harness out there for your furry friend. I really am amazed at how well made this harness is for the price and how much use we have got out of it.
