Hey, fellow pet lovers!
Today’s post is a short book review of Honey’s Natural Feeding Handbook for Dogs by Jonathan Self.
Personally, I love this book!!
It is perfect for anyone who wishes to gain an insight into raw feeding and talks about the reasons to do so. Honey’s Natural Feeding Handbook for Dogs is a great book to start your Raw feeding adventure.
You will learn how to feed your pet using the BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Feeding or Bones and Raw Food) method of raw feeding and also learn about the health issue that can arise from feeding our pets an overly processed commercial diet such as mass-produced kibble or canned/pouched wet food.
Heres the blurb from this handy little book:
Why naturally fed dogs lead longer, happier and healthier lives.
How to switch your dog to a natural diet in three easy steps.
How canine digestion works.
Why tinned and dried food is ‘junk food’ for dogs.
Lots of tips, recipes, and advice.
Special diets for poorly dogs.
How to give your puppies the best start in life.
Details of popular BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) diets.
(Self, J. 2012 Honey’s Natural feeding handbook for dogs, second edition)
It is a very short read and only has 158 pages, which is great, as it won’t take you long to finish at all.
I would certainly suggest getting this book before you start raw feeding or if you’re contemplating doing so but are unsure, as this book will provide you with a good understanding of the subject and help you on your way to being the best pet parent possible!!
To get the book click the link above and head straight over to Amazon, it is ridiculously cheap and only costs £7.50.

Thanks for reading this post, I hope you all liked it and I cannot stress enough how useful this little book has been over the course of my raw feeding adventure. If you have a furry friend who is on a raw diet or know someone who wants to learn a bit more knowledge about the subject then this book would be a great gift.
